Photographer Jos Treen tells the story behind one of his own favourite photographs made in Glasgow, Scotland in 1978.

‘Boys on the ice’ is currently being shown in an exhibition of Jos’s work made in Glasgow at Maryhill Burgh Halls and has been extended to allow international visitors attending the 26th United Nations Climate Change Conference (known as COP26) being hosted in Glasgow in November 2021 to see that area of the City as it once was. A special A2-size ‘FOLIO’ poster was produced by Offline Journal in collaboration with the photographer and venue to mark the exhibition and has this One Image as the hero photograph, reproduced large, on one side.
