Get creative and enjoy the process of making your own photography zine - on your own terms.
It’s common for photographers to put pressure on themselves when producing a zine of their work by printing a few dozen (or more) and then get stressed by finding ways to sell them.
They needn’t approach it that way…
Together with photographers across Wales, Ffoton have previously created two Zines - #urbanwales in 2017 & #portraitcymru in 2018. We love Zines!
Starting June through October 2022 we’ll be using #ffotozine to revive the photo zine vibe in Wales - to encourage photographers of any experience to pull images off their computer hard drives and create a new zine of their own. Create 2 or 12 zines (more if you like) to share with others before, during and after the EYE International Photography Festival.
Help us spread the new #ffotozine tag on social media to share news and updates on developments, events and a few surprises between now and October. If you’re interested in getting involved (in Wales or beyond the border), just start selecting (or making) photographs of your own that you think might merit sequencing in a new zine!
In doing so, you’ll be helping us create a new #ffotozine scene across Wales for 2022 and we will share the results - every single zine - here on the Ffoton website. And maybe in a new zine…
